"Art with purpose"
The National Art Honor Society was established in 1978 by the National Art Education Association for students grades 9-12 for "the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have shown an outstanding ability in art." Students work towards service hours where they utilize their talents and skills to help others in their community.
At North Gwinnett High School, any visual art student is eligible to apply to become a member. As one of the largest chapters in the nation, we participate in various events and support the community with our "Art with Purpose" theme.
Students must earn 100 points in order to receive a cord when they graduate. They can earn these points by:

- Attending bi-monthly meetings
- Attending required events
- Participating in workshop and event opportunities that are available during meetings and outside of school
